Macanudo Cafe Baron De Rothschild
Cigar Review

macanudo cafe cigar

Appearance: 90 - Macanudo Cafe Baron De Rothschild has a medium brown wrapper with a nice sheen. Wrapper slightly wrinkled to the touch.

Construction: 80 - Sound construction with nicely made cap. One soft spot detected toward center of cigar.

Draw: 83 - Draw was okay.... slightly airy.

Burn: 94 - Even burn through entire smoke.

Taste: 75 - At first light, this Macanudo tricks one into thinking it will be an uneventful smoke. Well, that may be the case for the first 5 minutes, but then things change. Citrus and cedar decide to show up to the party and they brought spice along for some entertainment. To keep things from getting too crazy, earthy decided to crash the party, much to the dismay of the other guests. This resulted in palate getting all excited and then having cold water thrown on him. Citrus, cedar and spice looked like they were going to party all the way to the end, but earthy took over. In the end, a respectable smoke for sure, but earthy dominated what could have been a more satisfying smoke.

CIGAR RATINGS: 84.4
