Romeo y Julieta Cigar Vintage No. II Cigar Review

MILD-BODIED These Romeo y Julieta cigar lives up to this brand's reputation as a producer of high quality cigars. With quality aged Dominican filler, a binder from Mexico, and a silky smooth light caramel colored USA grown Connecticut Shade wrapper, this is a pleasurable smoke. A blast of cloves at first puff is immediately replaced by wood and earthy notes with creamy undertones. The taste of cloves makes a comeback the last 10 minutes, accompanied by an introduction of dark chocolate. A slightly uneven burn occurred the last 1 1/2 inches on 2 of our 6 cigars. A well-balanced and delightful smoke down to the fingertips. A note worth mentioning... our Vintage II testing was done with cigars that were in our humidor for 1 year. Earlier tasting had detected a slightly bitter taste at first light. This did not affect the overall quality of the smoke, but you may want to consider aging these a bit if this is an issue for you. Our Romeo y Julieta Vintage II cigar review gives a #6 cigar rating on our top 10 cigars list.
